The Beacon Journal is a peer-reviewed annual research journal of the Pakistan Navy War College and is recognized in Y-Category by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC). It is a forum for independent research, scholarly investigation and analysis, encompassing national, regional and global issues with policy relevance. It primarily focuses on maritime security studies with a multi-disciplinary perspective. The fundamental objective of The Beacon Journal is to publish top-quality, policy-relevant research in an accessible manner.
Scope
The Beacon Journal’s research comprises a range of cross-cutting issues, including geopolitics, national security, military and maritime strategy, warfare, maritime security, military and emerging technologies, Blue Economy and climate change. It also investigates the policies and measures of international organizations and security alliances like UN, European Union, ASEAN, SAARC, NATO, Quad and AUKUS. The journal is unbound to any particular epistemological stance, methodological framework and theoretical paradigm. The Beacon Journal welcomes research work from academicians, policy-makers and scholars from all disciplines.
