Chief Instructor Message

"I deem it indispensable to have my sight firmly fixed on the Aim and Objectives of the Command in the discharge of my duties. To prepare decisive, creative and confident leaders adept in finding novel solutions to multifaceted complex security problems of twenty first century is no simple matter. The canvas of challenges continues to expand both, horizontally and vertically. The requirement for striking right balance between ‘what to think’ and ‘how to think’, in other words training for predictable viz-a-viz unpredictable, was perhaps never greater as it is today. Calibrating the right mix and meeting demands of professional military education perhaps remains a huge challenge in military institutes today. Advances in technology have not only altered the character of warfare but questions are being raised if nature of war is too under alteration. The mushroom growth of social media and artificial intelligence now transcends human cognitive barriers, a unique turning point in human history.

As Chief Instructor, I take my responsibility as an honorable trust. And I wish to guide the student officers based on my command and service experience. With some 28 years of service that saw me sail through various command and staff appointments besides a tenure abroad in which I oversaw and realized a major ship construction project for Pakistan Navy, I deem I have a fitting mix of professional experience and knowledge to share with my student officers."
